PS3 launched a Facebook fan page to help the brand communicate better with its fans and attend to potential queries from customers.
PS3 wished to enhance their overall web presence and improving relations with existing customers on social networks was thought to be an appropriate launching pad for the ongoing endeavor.
Blitz Design created a PlayStation fan page for the brand that proved to be an official source of information for insights, perspectives and opinions on all things pertaining to the PS3 and links back to the official company website www.playstation.com. The fan page enabled its users to participate in discussion forums and converse with not only the official spokesperson from Sony Computer Entertainment America, but also with other PlayStation fans across the world.
The fan page has received modest engagement rate to date and succeeded in gathering 1,200 followers on the Facebook platform.
